Application:

Advantage: This tool can be used to remove the timing chain cover without taking off the intake manifold.  Used in conjunction with torque wrench VAS 1331.  The application is described in the workshop manual.

Initial use: Audi V6 TDI.  Initial use on 6-cylinder 3.0l TDI common rail engine.
